Mila Tented Camp

Far from the busier regions of the Serengeti, Mila occupies the remote Nyasirori wilderness, where endless savannahs, exceptional lion encounters and private guiding define an altogether more exclusive safari.

Positioned within the game-rich Western Serengeti close to the Grumeti River, the camp enjoys one of Tanzania's least-visited yet most rewarding safari regions. Wildlife is abundant throughout the year, while the secluded setting allows guests to experience the Serengeti at a slower pace, with fewer vehicles and uninterrupted views stretching to the horizon.

Lodging

Accommodation comprises five elegant tented suites together with a spacious Family Tent featuring two interconnected bedrooms linked by a shared lounge. Widely spaced throughout the camp, each enjoys complete privacy whilst embracing the timeless character of a classic East African safari.

Canvas interiors, handcrafted furnishings and understated contemporary comforts create a welcoming atmosphere, complemented by generous en-suite bathrooms, private verandas and panoramic views across the surrounding plains.

Every stay includes a private guide and dedicated safari vehicle, allowing complete flexibility to explore according to your own interests. The surrounding Nyasirori region is particularly renowned for its exceptional lion population, while leopard, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, cheetah, hyena and vast herds of plains game are regularly encountered throughout the year.

The nearby Grumeti River attracts wildlife in every season and forms part of the route followed by the Great Migration as enormous herds move across the Western Serengeti in search of fresh grazing. Outside the migration period, the area's impressive resident wildlife ensures consistently rewarding game viewing.

Guided walking safaris, accompanied by an experienced guide and TANAPA ranger, provide an entirely different perspective on the Serengeti, allowing guests to appreciate its smaller wildlife, birdlife and remarkable landscapes away from the vehicle.
