Cocos Hotel

COCOS Hotel crowns a steep headland between two white-sand beaches, its 44 wooden cottages gazing west across Antigua’s Caribbean coastline.

Rooms & Suites

Each cottage stands independently on the hillside and faces the Caribbean Sea. Wood floors, beamed ceilings and simple island styling create a warm, uncontrived interior, complemented by air conditioning and practical touches including a minibar and tea and coffee facilities.

Outside, a large private balcony furnished with Adirondack chairs and a hammock gives every cottage its own place to pause over the view. Outdoor showers add to the connection with the setting, turning an everyday ritual into another opportunity to look out across the coastline.

Premium View Cottages make the most of the resort’s elevated terrain, with their balconies oriented towards broad ocean vistas. They suit couples who expect to spend much of their time on the beach or around the resort but still want a private retreat above the bay.

Pool cottages create a more self-contained experience. Sunset Pool Cottages are positioned with the evening light in mind, while the Beach Front Pool Cottage combines a private cliffside infinity pool with one of the closest relationships to the shoreline. Both are compelling choices for honeymoons and celebratory stays.

Dining

Coco’s Restaurant is the sole dining room and the centre of daily life at the resort. Its open-sided position overlooks the sea, allowing the outlook and changing light to provide a different backdrop to breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The kitchen brings local influence to a contemporary international menu, with seafood, Antiguan spice and fresh salads among the dishes served. Full table service keeps mealtimes relaxed, while beach service allows the all-inclusive experience to extend naturally to days beside the water.

Having one restaurant gives dining a pleasingly uncomplicated rhythm. There is no pressure to plan each evening around a different reservation; guests simply return to a familiar waterfront table, where the menu, atmosphere and view move easily from the brightness of midday to the warmth of sunset.

Experience

The headland divides the shoreline into two beaches, giving guests a choice of places to swim and settle for the day. Clear water invites snorkelling close to shore, while the contrasting outlooks on either side of the property make each beach feel like a distinct part of the stay.

An outdoor swimming pool occupies another scenic point above the Caribbean. The surrounding loungers provide a natural place to linger between swims, although guests with private pools may find themselves spending much of the afternoon on their own terrace.

Snorkelling and watersports bring some movement to otherwise leisurely days. Golf is available nearby, while cooking classes offer an alternative activity within the resort and an opportunity to engage with the flavours used in the kitchen.

Live music appears on selected evenings, adding warmth to the atmosphere without overwhelming the hotel’s peaceful character. The west-facing position ensures sunset remains the main event, visible from cottages, the restaurant and numerous points across the hillside.

Serenity Spa reflects the small scale and personal character of COCOS. Its treatments include massage, facials and body therapies, alongside manicure, pedicure and beauty services, with couples’ massages especially well suited to the romantic nature of the resort.

Open-air yoga offers a calm beginning to the day, with the tropical surroundings and sea air giving each session a strong sense of place. Wellness here is not presented as an intensive programme; it is part of the slower pattern of swimming, resting and spending long periods outdoors.

Where

COCOS Hotel sits between Jolly Beach and Jolly Harbour on Antigua’s south-west coast. Its elevated setting opens towards the island’s sunset side, while the two beaches below place the Caribbean Sea at the heart of the experience.

St John’s Cathedral is approximately 11 kilometres away. English Harbour and Nelson’s Dockyard can be reached in around 30 minutes, and V.C. Bird International Airport is also approximately 30 minutes from the hotel.
