Built in 2019, Saluti da Stampalia feels particularly connected to its island. Cubic forms, flat roofs and gentle curves borrow from Astypalean architecture, while local stone and wood add texture to the whitewashed buildings. The design is deliberately restrained, drawing attention towards the landscape through broad openings that capture the sea, cooling breezes and the extraordinary clarity of light for which this corner of the Dodecanese is known.
