Dining makes excellent use of the waterfront. 1962 By the Sea Restaurant takes its name from an important year in Miramare’s history and brings Mediterranean cooking to a beautiful position beside the Ionian, creating the kind of setting where lunch has a habit of lasting considerably longer than intended.

Antonino’s Italian Restaurant brings a different flavour to the collection, while Makris Fine Dining provides the more ambitious culinary experience for evenings when dinner deserves to become the occasion. The contrast between the three gives the hotel genuine variety without losing the strong Mediterranean identity running through the resort.

Drinks follow the same relationship with the sea, with bars and poolside spaces carrying the day from coffee and a light lunch through to cocktails after sunset. The Raw Bar adds another relaxed waterfront stop, and the different settings make it easy to find somewhere that suits the hour rather than following a fixed routine.

Experience

The shoreline is where Miramare is at its most seductive. A private beach area, three outdoor pools and gardens that meet the water create plenty of places to settle for the day, yet the long waterfront encourages the occasional wander simply to see what lies around the next corner.

One of the loveliest ways to experience Corfu from here is by boat. Miramaretta, the resort’s speedboat, opens up the island from the sea with excursions towards Corfu Town, secluded coves and historic sights.
