Ikos Dassia

Among 25 acres of gardens and fragrant pines on Dassia Bay, Ikos Dassia brings the brand’s exceptional all inclusive experience to Corfu, with eight restaurants, seven pools and a beautifully serviced stretch of sand beside the calm Ionian Sea.

Corfu gives this Ikos a character of its own. Olive trees, pines and established gardens surround the accommodation, lawns reach towards the water and the mountains of the island’s eastern coastline frame the bay beyond. The resort is substantial, but the landscape softens its scale beautifully, with pools, terraces and garden paths creating different pockets of life between the buildings and the beach.

The sea is never far from the experience. Dassia Bay is naturally sheltered, making the water particularly inviting for swimming, while the long beachfront provides plenty of room to find your own spot beneath the trees. It is an easy, wonderfully Mediterranean setting, and one that suits the generous Ikos approach particularly well.

Rooms & Suites

Rooms begin with contemporary doubles before moving into Junior and Panorama Junior Suites, where extra space and sea views make the connection with the bay considerably stronger. Interiors are polished but relaxed, using pale finishes and comfortable furnishings rather than competing with the greenery and Ionian colour outside.

The Deluxe One Bedroom Suites with Private Garden bring a different feel altogether. Their outdoor space creates a more secluded base within the resort, with the garden becoming somewhere for a quiet coffee in the morning or a little time away from the pools and beach later in the day.

For sea lovers, the Panorama Junior Suites are especially appealing. The elevated outlook gives Dassia Bay centre stage, and waking to that broad sweep of Ionian blue adds something genuinely worthwhile to the room choice.

Dining

Ikos Dassia really comes into its own around the table. Ouzo celebrates contemporary Greek cooking, Kerkyra draws directly on Corfu and its culinary traditions, Fresco heads to Italy, Provence to France and Anaya towards Asia. Ergon Deli offers a more casual Greek experience, while SKY Flavors and SEA Flavors provide the broader choice of Mediterranean buffet dining.

The depth of the all inclusive concept makes it possible to treat those restaurants as a collection to work your way through rather than simply places to eat. Menus created with acclaimed chefs, an extensive wine collection and cocktails from the resort bars give evenings a genuine sense of choice, particularly over a longer stay.

Then there is Dine Out, one of our favourite elements of the Ikos idea. Selected local restaurants become part of the package, encouraging you to leave the resort for an evening and experience a little more of Corfu without stepping outside the ease of the all inclusive arrangement.

Experience

Seven pools give the resort an impressive amount of water before you even reach the beach. Some areas naturally carry more family activity while others offer a slower pace, making it easy to change surroundings during the day rather than claiming the same lounger every morning and staying there until sunset.

Dassia Bay itself adds canoeing, windsurfing and diving, with its sheltered water particularly appealing when you simply want to swim. Two tennis courts, fitness facilities, yoga and a broad programme of entertainment provide plenty more to do, while an open air cinema brings a rather lovely change of pace after dark.

Children have their own world here too, with a crèche, kids’ club, activities and dedicated pool facilities. Yet one of Dassia’s strengths is how comfortably different generations occupy the same resort, with enough space for everyone to find the version of the day that suits them.

Wellness

The Ikos Spa provides a substantial wellness retreat with an indoor pool, steam room, hot tub and dedicated relaxation areas. Treatments range from massages and facials to body therapies and beauty rituals, while personal training, yoga and fitness classes offer a more active route to switching off.

It is easy to make the spa part of the day rather than the whole event, perhaps disappearing inside for a treatment before returning to the beach as the afternoon begins to cool. With the pines, gardens and Ionian Sea waiting outside, relaxation at Dassia rarely needs much encouragement.

Where

Ikos Dassia sits directly on Dassia Bay on Corfu’s east coast, with Corfu Town and its UNESCO listed historic centre around 10 kilometres away, making an evening among the old streets an easy addition to a beachfront stay.
