Terraced into the hillside above the Aegean near Afitos, MERAVIA Leonardo Limited Edition is an adults only beachfront resort where cascading infinity pools, private pool accommodation and a 600 square metre spa create a distinctly grown up escape in Halkidiki.

MERAVIA makes the most of its elevation. The resort steps down through landscaped terraces towards the water, allowing the Aegean to remain in sight as you move between pools, restaurants and outdoor lounges, with the blue horizon providing a striking backdrop to the clean contemporary architecture.

There are 188 rooms and suites, yet the arrangement across different levels helps create a sense of separation. Two cascading infinity pools form the visual heart of the resort, while the private beach waits below, giving days a natural progression from breakfast above the sea to swimming, lunch and long afternoons beside the water.

Rooms & Suites

The accommodation has been designed to take full advantage of that hillside position, with sea facing terraces and a particularly strong collection of private pool rooms and suites. Even the Deluxe Doubles offer a good choice of outlooks, from gardens and partial sea views to rooms facing directly towards the Aegean.

Private pools begin with selected Deluxe Doubles and continue through the Junior and One Bedroom Suites, allowing you to step directly outside for a swim without leaving your own terrace. Sharing pool rooms provide another way to stay close to the water while retaining the atmosphere of the wider resort.

The Panoramic Suites occupy the most indulgent end of the collection, combining one or two bedrooms with a private pool, Jacuzzi and expansive sea views. They are particularly appealing when you want the space of a suite but still want much of the day to happen outdoors.

Dining

Food moves comfortably between relaxed Mediterranean meals and more occasion worthy evenings. Ertha is the main restaurant and provides the broadest choice, while Apiro Sea & Sky makes considerably more of the setting, pairing à la carte dining with the open Aegean views that define MERAVIA.

Delizia Italian Bistro Wine Bar changes the mood again with Italian cooking and wine in a more informal setting. Across the resort there are four restaurants and four bars, giving enough choice to vary the evening without losing the easy rhythm that suits an adults only beach stay.

Experience

The two cascading infinity pools are where MERAVIA really comes into its own. Arranged across different levels rather than around a single deck, they draw the eye directly towards the Aegean and give the outdoor spaces a strong sense of movement down the hillside.

Below them, the private beach offers clear water, loungers and a quieter alternative to the pool terraces. Cycling and hiking provide reasons to head beyond the resort, and Afitos itself is close enough to make an evening among its stone houses, little squares and tavernas an easy addition to the stay.

Wellness

The 600 square metre spa is substantial enough to be a destination in its own right. An indoor heated pool sits alongside a hammam, sauna, steam room and treatment rooms, with an extensive choice of massages and wellness rituals providing a complete change of atmosphere from the bright terraces outside.

A fully equipped fitness area adds a more active element, although MERAVIA lends itself particularly well to a slower routine of morning swims, time at the beach and an afternoon treatment before heading back outside as the heat begins to soften.

Where

MERAVIA sits on the coast close to Afitos on Halkidiki’s Kassandra peninsula, giving you one of the region’s most appealing villages almost on the doorstep. Its old stone streets and traditional tavernas are well worth leaving the resort for, before returning to the hillside and those wide Aegean views.
