Rooms & Suites

Every room and suite has a private balcony or patio, and the accommodation becomes increasingly indulgent as you move through the categories. Panoramic Rooms and Junior Suites keep things beautifully simple, while the larger Design and Superior Suites create more space for lingering over those Aegean views.

Sharing pools appear with the Loft Suite, Maisonette and Deluxe Suite, giving the terraces an easy connection with the water. The Design Sea View Suite adds a private hot tub, while connecting and adjoining options make Liostasi particularly appealing when travelling together without sacrificing individual space.

At the top of the collection, the Liostasi Sea View Suite with Private Pool gives you the full island fantasy, with your own stretch of water and the Aegean beyond. It is exactly the sort of terrace that can make a planned morning in Chora surprisingly easy to postpone.

Dining

Grandma’s Restaurant is one of the pleasures of staying here. Its open air veranda faces across the pool towards the sea, providing a wonderfully relaxed setting for contemporary Greek and Mediterranean cooking built around seasonal ingredients.

Breakfast has a particularly strong sense of place, with homemade breads and pies, Greek cheeses and local flavours setting up the day properly. Later, the Pool & Cocktail Bar takes over the relaxed rhythm with fresh juices, light dishes and cocktails, becoming an especially good place to be as the sun begins its descent across the western horizon.

Experience

The swimming pool sits at the heart of Liostasi, surrounded by terraces and sun loungers positioned towards the sea, with an outdoor Jacuzzi adding another place to stop and take in the view. Gardens soften the white Cycladic architecture and create quieter corners away from the main pool.

Ios itself is very much part of the experience. Cooking classes, hiking, snorkelling, diving and days on the water are all possible, while the hotel’s position makes it wonderfully easy to wander into Chora and enjoy its lanes, churches and evening atmosphere before returning to the hillside.

Wellness

The spa brings the Mediterranean landscape into its treatments, using natural products and an outdoor massage space surrounded by olive trees. A hammam, relaxation areas and a broad menu of massages, facials and body treatments make this somewhere worth setting aside proper time for.

There is also a fitness centre for more energetic mornings, although an outdoor massage among the olive trees followed by an unhurried afternoon beside the pool feels particularly well suited to the pace of Ios.

Where

Liostasi occupies an enviable position between the port and Chora, putting the island’s whitewashed capital within walking distance while the beaches of Ios remain easily accessible. It is a location that works especially well in the evening, when dinner and drinks in Chora can finish with a gentle return to the hotel and the lights scattered across the hillside below.
