Celestial All Suites

Wrapped in the green hills of Mousata above Trapezaki Beach, Celestial All Suites is an adults only retreat of just 23 suites, where private pools, open terraces and wide Ionian views bring a wonderfully secluded feel to this quieter corner of Kefalonia.

The landscape plays a particularly important role here. Mousata is lush and deeply green, and the hotel sits comfortably within it, using pale stone, clean architectural lines and low buildings that allow the surrounding forest and distant sea to remain prominent. The effect is fresh and contemporary while still feeling connected to the softer, more rural character of southern Kefalonia.

There is an intimacy to the layout that suits the small number of suites. Rather than concentrating everything around a single building, accommodation is distributed through the grounds with terraces, pools and planting creating natural pockets of privacy. All four suite categories have been created around outdoor living, with either a private pool or hot tub extending the accommodation onto a generous terrace. Interiors are contemporary and restrained, using natural shades and uncluttered spaces to complement rather than compete with the landscape outside.

The Junior Suite Sea View with Cozy Private Pool makes the most of the hotel’s elevated position, while the Honeymoon Suite Sea View with Cozy Private Pool adds a particularly romantic setting for couples. Both place the private pool directly into the experience, with the Ionian providing the backdrop beyond.

The Junior Suite Forest View with Cozy Private Pool exchanges the broad sea panorama for the greenery of Mousata, creating a more enclosed and private atmosphere. The Galaxy Suite Pool View introduces an outdoor hot tub instead, giving each of the four categories a slightly different way to enjoy the hotel’s peaceful surroundings.

Dining

Dining has an appropriately relaxed Mediterranean character, beginning with a generous breakfast built around freshly prepared dishes and a broad choice of morning favourites. The restaurant continues into the evening with Greek and international cooking, drawing the stay back towards the flavours of the island.

Meals can be enjoyed out on the terrace when the weather allows, with the elevated setting and surrounding landscape adding much to the experience. The bar keeps things easy between meals, whether for a drink beside the pool during the afternoon or something cooler as the heat begins to fade in the evening.

Experience

The main pool forms the natural heart of Celestial, with sun terraces providing a sociable alternative to the privacy of the suites. Trapezaki Beach lies below the hotel, its clear Ionian water and green backdrop capturing the gentler character of this part of Kefalonia particularly well.

The island rewards getting out and seeing more of it. Days can take in mountain villages, vineyards, hidden coves and long stretches of coastline, while hiking and time on the water offer a closer look at the landscapes that make Kefalonia so distinctive. Returning to your own pool afterwards is one of the pleasures of staying here.

Wellness remains in keeping with the intimate scale of the hotel.
