Lango makes an immediate impression with its architecture. A long central pool cuts through the heart of the hotel, bordered by palms, white terraces and low contemporary buildings, while the restrained palette of pale stone, crisp white and darker details gives everything a sharp Mediterranean freshness.

There is plenty of space around that central pool, yet the hotel remains intimate enough to feel personal. Days naturally gravitate towards the water, moving between a lounger, the pool and Lambi Beach, with Kos Town close enough to introduce a completely different mood once evening arrives.

Rooms & Suites

The 55 rooms and suites continue the contemporary aesthetic with uncluttered interiors, natural light and balconies or terraces that extend the living space outdoors. Deluxe Rooms provide the starting point, while Junior and Elegant Suites bring sea views into the picture.

Water becomes increasingly important higher through the categories. Deluxe Suites open directly onto a sharing pool, while Design and Superior Suites have private pools of their own, creating a secluded place to spend the hottest part of the afternoon without leaving your terrace.

The Master and Penthouse Suites sit at the top of the collection, pairing sea views with outdoor Jacuzzis and generous terraces. They are particularly appealing towards evening, when the heat begins to soften and the sea beyond Lambi catches the last of the light.

Dining

KOAN Cuisine gives Lango a restaurant with a personality of its own. An open kitchen brings guests closer to the cooking, while Mediterranean flavours and Greek ingredients are treated with a contemporary hand, resulting in food that feels entirely suited to the clean, modern surroundings.

The wine cellar adds depth for anyone keen to spend a little longer over dinner, while two bars carry the hotel through the rest of the day. Poolside drinks and lighter dishes keep lunch pleasingly informal, before the atmosphere changes as the terraces settle into evening.

Breakfast can also be taken privately, but the restaurant is a lovely place to begin the morning, particularly before the pool has properly stirred and the day along Lambi Beach has begun.

Experience

The outdoor pool is the visual heart of Lango and easily somewhere to lose several hours. Palms and sun terraces frame the water, with loungers arranged generously enough for the atmosphere to remain relaxed even when everyone has arrived for the afternoon.

Lambi Beach sits immediately beyond the hotel, providing the obvious alternative when you want salt water rather than the pool. Kos is also one of Greece’s great cycling islands, and bicycle hire makes it particularly easy to follow the flat coastal roads towards town or head further along the shoreline.

There is plenty more to arrange, from diving and snorkelling to horse riding, walking tours and cooking experiences, but Lango works equally well when the agenda consists of little more than deciding between the beach and your pool.

Wellness

The spa provides a peaceful change of pace with sauna, hot tub, relaxation areas and a menu of massages and beauty treatments. A fitness centre sits alongside it for anyone wanting something more energetic, creating a compact but well considered wellness offering within the hotel.

It fits the character of Lango particularly well. A treatment after a morning on the beach, followed by an afternoon beside the pool and a slow dinner at KOAN, is enough to give the day a rhythm without ever making it feel organised.

Where

Lango sits on the beachfront at Lambi, around two kilometres from the centre of Kos Town. That location gives you the best of both moods, with the beach and hotel providing an easy retreat during the day and the harbour, historic streets, restaurants and evening life of Kos Town close enough to dip into whenever you please.
