High above Elia Beach, Myconian Utopia is a Relais & Châteaux retreat where rugged Mykonian stone, dazzling white architecture and private pool accommodation meet an extraordinary panorama of the Aegean.

Utopia has been shaped around the landscape rather than simply placed upon it. Local stone anchors the buildings into the hillside, while whitewashed walls, timber and broad openings soften the transition between architecture and the dry, elemental terrain of southern Mykonos. For families and friends, the Grand Majestic villas are the stars of the collection. Two and five bedroom layouts come with private pools and the independence of a villa, while retaining the service, dining and wellness of the hotel around them. It is a particularly appealing way to experience Mykonos as a group without sacrificing privacy.

Dining

Pavilion sits above the bay and gives Utopia a dining room worthy of its setting. Mediterranean flavours and Greek ingredients lead the menu, with local produce used to bring a clear sense of place to dishes that feel polished enough for the hotel’s Relais & Châteaux credentials.

The sea remains part of the experience from breakfast through to dinner. Mornings are bright and expansive on the terrace, while evening changes the mood completely as the light softens over Elia and Pavilion becomes somewhere to linger. The bar keeps things more informal around the pool, taking care of drinks and lighter moments throughout the day.

Experience

The infinity pool is Utopia’s great visual centrepiece, stretching towards the horizon with the hillside falling away beneath it. There is something wonderfully uncomplicated about spending the day here, moving between the water and a sun lounger before eventually making your way down towards the beach.

Elia brings another side to the stay with swimming and water sports, while snorkelling, diving, windsurfing and canoeing can take you further into the Aegean. Cooking classes and cultural experiences offer a different connection with Mykonos, alongside horse riding, cycling and hiking for exploring the island away from the coast.

Wellness
