Naxian Utopia

Scattered across a rocky hillside in Stelida, Naxian Utopia is an intimate collection of suites and villas where every stay comes with its own private pool and the beaches of Naxos are tantalisingly close.

With just five villas and four suites at its heart, Naxian Utopia feels pleasingly private from the moment you arrive. Stone walls, white Cycladic forms and gardens soften the hillside, while the accommodation has been positioned across different levels so that terraces become individual outdoor worlds rather than simply somewhere to sit outside the room.

There is a generosity to the concept that makes it particularly appealing for longer stays. Couples can retreat into a pool suite of their own, while the larger villas give families and friends proper living space without sacrificing the atmosphere of a small hotel. Agios Prokopios and Naxos Town are both close, yet back on the hillside the mood is wonderfully unhurried.

Rooms & Suites

Accommodation ranges from romantic one bedroom suites to substantial three bedroom villas, with private pools appearing throughout the collection alongside outdoor Jacuzzis, indoor hot tubs and hammams in selected categories. The variety makes Naxian Utopia unusually flexible, whether the plan is a honeymoon for two or a Naxos escape shared with friends and family.

Interiors blend contemporary comfort with the clean shapes and natural materials associated with the Cyclades, opening through to furnished terraces designed for outdoor dining and long afternoons beside the water. The Three Bedroom Elegant Villa crowns the larger choices, while honeymoon and spa suites bring a more intimate feel with private wellness touches of their own.

Dining

Food is deliberately relaxed, fitting naturally around days spent by the pool or exploring the island. An all day bar serves light dishes and drinks, while meals can also be arranged when you would rather stay within the privacy of your own terrace.

That flexibility works particularly well in the villas. Breakfast can ease into a morning beside your pool, lunch can be kept light before heading to the beach and evenings are free to unfold either at Naxian Utopia or among the restaurants of nearby Agios Prokopios and Naxos Town.

Experience

Agios Prokopios Beach is only around 500 metres away, putting one of Naxos's most beautiful stretches of sand and clear turquoise water close at hand. Windsurfing, snorkelling and diving add plenty of opportunity to get out onto the Aegean, while the island's western coast is easy to follow onwards towards Agia Anna and Plaka.

It is worth giving Naxos itself some time too. The fertile interior, mountain villages and ancient sites reveal a very different island beyond the beach, and the freedom of having a car works especially well here. Returning later to your own pool gives the day a rather lovely full stop.

Wellness

The spa adds another layer to the sense of retreat, with a sauna and a broad menu of massages, beauty therapies and treatments. There is also a fitness centre, while selected suites and villas bring wellness into the accommodation itself through private hammams, indoor Jacuzzis and outdoor hot tubs.

The Spa Suite is particularly tempting for couples wanting to make relaxation central to the stay, combining its private pool with a hammam of its own. Equally, a massage followed by an afternoon beside your villa pool is an excellent way to recover after a day exploring the island.

Where

Stelida gives Naxian Utopia a useful position between the coast and Naxos Town, with Agios Prokopios Beach around 500 metres away and the island capital approximately two kilometres from the hotel. You can spend the morning on the beach, wander through the Kastro and harbour later in the day, then retreat to the privacy of your hillside villa when you have had enough of being anywhere else.
