Our View
For us this is one of the ultimate adult only, all inclusive hotels in Greece. It works best if you’re planning to switch off and enjoy the varied dining options, sumptious bars and lounges and just relax rather than explore the wider area.
Mayia Exclusive Resort & Spa is our choice for a polished adults-only escape in Rhodes, bringing generous sea views, excellent dining and a genuine sense of occasion to the premium all-inclusive experience.
Set on the quieter south-east coast in Kiotari, the resort opens towards the Aegean through long pools, broad terraces and low contemporary buildings. The scale is substantial, yet the layout gives each part of the hotel room to breathe, allowing guests to move naturally between the beach, gardens, restaurants and quieter corners without everything feeling concentrated around a single busy centre.
There is a confidence to the way Mayia is put together. Service is attentive, the surroundings are immaculate and the all-inclusive format has enough depth to make a longer stay feel varied rather than repetitive. It is particularly well suited to couples who want the ease of having everything arranged, but still expect thoughtful dining, attractive private spaces and a distinctly grown-up atmosphere.
Rooms & Suites
Rooms, suites and bungalows are contemporary and composed, using light finishes and clean lines to keep the focus on the outlook. Air conditioning, smart televisions, coffee-making facilities and private terraces feature across the collection, while sea-view and garden settings create a meaningful difference between categories.
The Deluxe Room Sea View and Junior Suite Sea View are strong choices for guests who plan to spend most of the day around the resort, providing a comfortable base with the Aegean always close at hand. The Deluxe Bungalow Sea View feels more removed from the main building, bringing a little more separation and an easy connection to the landscaped grounds.
Mayia becomes more distinctive in its water-led categories. The Deluxe Room Swim Up Sea View and Junior Suite Swim Up Sea View place the pool directly outside the terrace, making the outdoor space central to the stay rather than simply an addition to the room. Deluxe Bungalow Swim Up Garden View accommodation offers a greener, more sheltered alternative.
For greater space, the Premier Bungalow Suite categories are the natural step up, with both sea-view and swim-up options available. The Mayia Suite with Private Pool Sea View is the most complete choice for privacy, combining its own pool with an uninterrupted outlook and a more self-contained way of enjoying the resort.
Dining
Dining carries proper weight at Mayia, with a collection of named restaurants that gives the all-inclusive arrangement welcome breadth. Waterfront Main Restaurant anchors the offering with generous breakfast, lunch and dinner service, including a range of drinks and selected wines, but it is the choice beyond the main restaurant that gives the stay its variety.
Thymari Greek à la carte Restaurant draws on familiar local flavours, while Al Dente provides an Italian change of pace and Wasabi introduces an Asian menu. Each gives the evening a different identity, so dining feels considered across a four- or seven-night stay rather than built around repeated visits to the same room.
During the day, the All Day Comfort Restaurant by the pool keeps lunch informal and close to the water, while the Street Food Corner is useful for lighter, spontaneous stops between swimming and sunbathing. A coffee house, snack service and special-diet menus on request add further flexibility.
The bars are equally important to the hotel’s character. Drinks flow easily between the pool, beach and evening spaces, while the Champagne Bar brings a more elegant note after dark. It is this combination of convenience and occasion that allows Mayia to feel indulgent without becoming overly formal.
Experience
Most days settle into a natural rhythm between the private beach, the two outdoor pools and the terrace outside your room. The beachfront position keeps the Aegean present throughout the stay, while the scale of the grounds makes it possible to find a quieter place to read or swim even when there is more activity around the main pool.
Guests who prefer an active holiday have plenty of choice. Tennis, cycling, canoeing, windsurfing, snorkelling and diving are among the available options, alongside fitness and yoga classes. Bicycle hire and car hire make it possible to explore beyond Kiotari, while Rhodes’ south-east coast places Lindos within reach for a cultural change of scene.
There is also a sociable side to the resort. Live music, evening performances, themed dinners and occasional DJ-led entertainment give the night a sense of movement, but the adults-only setting keeps the overall mood polished. Guests can join in when they wish or retreat to a quieter bar, private terrace or sea-facing corner.
Cooking classes and organised activities introduce variety without dictating the pace of the holiday. Mayia works just as well for guests who want to fill the day as it does for those who would rather move no further than breakfast, the beach and a long evening meal.
Wellness
The spa provides a cooler, more enclosed counterpoint to the open coastal setting. An indoor pool, hammam, sauna, steam room, hot tub and relaxation spaces create a complete thermal experience, making the facilities worth setting aside time for rather than treating them as an occasional escape from the sun.
Treatments extend from massages and couples’ rituals to facials, body scrubs, wraps and beauty therapies. The breadth of the menu allows guests to choose between straightforward relaxation and a more structured afternoon of treatments, with dedicated spa packages available for those who want to make wellness a larger part of the stay.
A fitness centre supports more active routines, complemented by yoga and fitness classes elsewhere in the resort. Together with the beach, pools and generous outdoor space, the wellness facilities feel integrated into the holiday rather than confined to a single part of the hotel.
Where
Mayia Exclusive Resort & Spa is set in Kiotari on the quieter south-east coast of Rhodes, approximately 59 kilometres from Rhodes International Airport. Airport transfers, shuttle services and car hire can be arranged, while the location works particularly well for combining restful days at the resort with a visit to Lindos or further exploration of the island’s southern coastline.
