Katikies Santorini

Katikies Santorini is one of the defining caldera boutique stays in Oia, set directly into the cliff face with a cascading layout of terraces, pools and walkways that follow the natural drop of the island’s volcanic edge.

The architecture is unmistakably Cycladic but more sculptural than most, with whitewashed curves, narrow passages and layered levels creating a sense of movement throughout the property. Views are constant but never static, revealing themselves gradually as you move between spaces.

Katikies Lower Deck Lounge and Upper Deck Lounge handle more relaxed dining and daytime service, while the bar spaces shift naturally into sunset territory, without feeling overly staged.

Experience

The layout creates multiple pool levels rather than a single focal point, including two infinity pools positioned along the cliff. Each feels slightly separate, giving the hotel a more intimate rhythm despite its central location.

Time here tends to revolve around terraces, pools and dining, with Oia immediately on hand when you want it, but easy enough to step away from when you don’t.

The A.SPA adds a quieter counterpoint to the setting, with treatments focused on relaxation rather than scale. It complements the overall experience rather than dominating it, which suits the property’s more understated approach.
