Maregio Suites

Maregio Suites by Fotinos is a boutique, adults-only retreat set directly on Oia’s caldera edge, positioned just moments from the castle yet tucked into a quieter stretch where the views feel uninterrupted and the atmosphere more contained.

The architecture follows the traditional cave-style approach, but with a cleaner, more contemporary execution, where curved interiors, bright white surfaces and sharp openings are all used to frame the caldera and sunset rather than compete with it.

Rooms & Suites

The suites are built around outdoor living, with each one opening onto a private terrace anchored by a heated plunge pool, creating a layout where the view and water become part of the room itself rather than an added feature.

Interiors stay deliberately pared back, with clean lines and neutral tones allowing the space and light to lead, while features such as espresso machines, seating areas and upgraded bathrooms add comfort without overcomplicating the design.

Dining

There is no formal restaurant, which shifts the focus towards a more flexible, location-driven dining experience, with Oia’s restaurants and tavernas just a short walk away, making it easy to move between the suite and the village.

On-site, the bar provides a more relaxed option for drinks and light refreshments, typically enjoyed on private terraces where the setting naturally becomes the focal point.

Experience

The experience here is intentionally simple and private, with most time spent within the suite or terrace rather than shared spaces, supported by a concierge-style approach that helps shape days around the island without imposing structure.

From sunset viewpoints to walking routes and boat trips, the emphasis is on easy access rather than organised activity, keeping the overall feel low-key and self-directed.

There is no dedicated gym, so the focus leans more towards outdoor movement and the natural terrain of Santorini itself.
