Our View

Pedi Beach Hotel captures exactly what we enjoy about Symi, with a balcony above that beautiful sheltered bay, the sea outside the door and the colourful harbour town waiting just around the coast.

At the water's edge in one of Symi's prettiest natural harbours, Pedi Beach Hotel is a traditional island stay where balconies face the bay, the beach begins outside the door and life revolves around the clear, sheltered Aegean.

Pedi has a character all its own. Colourful houses climb the surrounding hills, small boats cross the bay and the water remains wonderfully calm beneath the slopes that shelter the cove. The hotel follows that easy rhythm, with traditional architecture, shaded terraces and gardens leading naturally towards the shoreline rather than separating guests from it.

Its greatest pleasure is the immediacy of the sea. Breakfast can be followed by a swim without making plans for the day, afternoons drift between a lounger and the waterfront terrace, and the bay becomes especially beautiful as the light softens across the hills. It is an uncomplicated way to experience Symi, with the island itself providing much of the atmosphere.

Rooms & Suites

Rooms are bright and comfortable, with every category opening onto a private balcony. Sea View rooms are the obvious choice for anyone who wants to wake to Pedi Bay, while Limited Sea View and Land View categories look towards the surrounding landscape and traditional settlement.

The Junior Suites provide additional room to settle in, while Deluxe Land View rooms offer another option for guests who value a little more space. Interiors retain a simple island character throughout, but it is the balconies that become an important part of the stay, particularly in the sea facing rooms where the bay is present from first light.

Dining

The restaurant keeps dining firmly connected to its surroundings, with breakfast and dinner served beside the bay. Greek and Mediterranean flavours suit the setting, and meals here have the relaxed quality that comes naturally when tables, terraces and the waterfront are all part of the same small hotel.

The bar carries things through the rest of the day with snacks, fresh juices, drinks and cocktails. A cold drink after a swim or an evening table beside the water feels entirely in keeping with Pedi, where there is little need to make anything more complicated than it needs to be.

Experience

The hotel's organised beach sits directly in front, with sunbeds and umbrellas arranged beside the sheltered water. There is no need for a pool when the Aegean is this accessible, and swimming in the calm bay becomes part of the daily routine almost without thinking about it.

Symi rewards exploration on foot and by boat. Walking routes lead through the dry hills and fragrant Mediterranean landscape, while Agia Marina and Agios Nikolaos provide beautiful alternatives for a day beside the sea. Boats open up otherwise inaccessible coves around the island, and Symi Town brings one of the most distinctive harbours in the Dodecanese within easy reach.

Wellness

Slower days come naturally at Pedi Beach Hotel. The gardens, waterfront terraces and beach provide plenty of places to read, swim or simply watch the boats moving across the bay, while the surrounding hills invite an early walk before the heat of the day. It is the sort of setting where the landscape itself becomes the wellness experience.

Where

Pedi Beach Hotel sits directly on Pedi Bay on the eastern side of Symi, with the island's spectacular harbour town easily reached from the hotel. Its position also places Agios Nikolaos and Agia Marina within the surrounding stretch of coastline, making Pedi an excellent base for discovering Symi while retaining the atmosphere of a peaceful seaside village.
