Aliv Stone Suites & Spa sits above the Ionian Sea in Agios Nikolaos, where locally built stone suites, broad coastal views and the quieter character of northern Zakynthos give this intimate retreat a strong sense of place.

The hotel takes its character directly from the island, using local stone, timber and warm earth tones throughout a series of terraces that descend towards the sea. The scale is deliberately intimate, with only 20 suites and enough space between them to preserve privacy.

The Signature Suite with Private Pool and Grand Suite with Private Pool are the strongest choices for privacy, extending the suite onto a substantial outdoor area with its own pool and uninterrupted Ionian views.

Dining

Aliv Restaurant is the hotel's main dining address, serving Mediterranean cooking shaped around seasonal produce and the flavours of Zakynthos. The setting is relaxed, with the coastline visible from the dining areas and enough informality for guests to return comfortably throughout their stay.

Breakfast combines buffet and continental choices before the restaurant moves into lunch and evening service. The bar provides drinks and lighter dishes through the day, with sunset naturally becoming one of the most appealing times to settle on the terrace.

Experience

The outdoor pool forms the main shared space, but Aliv is equally suited to guests who prefer to spend much of the day on their own terrace. Kremidi Beach is close by, while canoeing and boat trips add an active dimension to days spent along the coast.

Agios Nikolaos is also one of the principal starting points for exploring the Blue Caves and the dramatic northern shoreline by boat. Returning afterwards to a smaller hotel away from the island's busier southern resorts is a significant part of Aliv's appeal.

The spa is substantial for a hotel of this size, with a hammam, sauna, steam room and treatment facilities offering massages, facials and body therapies.
