In Akrotiri — the part of Zakynthos where historic manor houses once graced the shoreline — Amaranthus presents a modern, pared-back interpretation of a classic Zakynthian summer house.

Designed for up to six guests across three ensuite bedrooms, the villa opens generously toward the Ionian Sea through large windows, a wide heated pool, and inviting outdoor spaces that gently encourage living mostly al fresco. While the architecture offers a subtle nod to the island’s heritage, the experience is very much of the present: long, lazy mornings, late-night swims, and beautifully unhurried days.

    Outdoors

The heated infinity pool stretches almost the full width of the terrace, reflecting both the sky above and the shimmering Ionian below. Jacuzzi jets at one end invite peaceful lingering — whether first thing in the morning or after a relaxed dinner. Sun loungers and umbrellas are thoughtfully positioned to offer both full sun and welcome shade, while the covered lounge and dining area make it effortless to remain outdoors from breakfast through to late evening. A small garden softens the clean lines of the stone, and the gated grounds create a sense of complete calm and containment.

    Indoors

Indoors, the villa flows like a contemporary home. The living area connects directly to the pool terrace, allowing conversations, laughter, and children’s play to move freely between inside and out. A dining table for six sits beside the fully equipped kitchen, perfectly suited for everyday cooking or simple, spontaneous snacks. Two king bedrooms with sea views and indulgent jetted bathtubs feel like private retreats, while the flexible twin ensuite bedroom provides ideal space for children, teenagers, or friends sharing the stay.

    Good to Know

Guests at Amaranthus enjoy the added pleasure of daily breakfast service and access to shared wellness and gym facilities, gently blurring the line between private villa and resort-like indulgence. Tsilivi Beach, with its family-friendly atmosphere and abundance of cafés and tavernas, is just a short drive away. A little further lies Zakynthos Town, offering a more authentic local setting for an evening stroll or dinner. For days when you crave a different rhythm, Gerakas Beach reveals another beautiful facet of the island. Travelcube’s concierge is always available to arrange anything that will make your Zakynthos days even more effortless and special.
