Why Etosha National Park

Etosha National Park is one of Africa's most distinctive safari destinations, a vast wilderness where extraordinary wildlife gathers around waterholes set against the backdrop of a seemingly endless salt pan. Covering thousands of square kilometres in northern Namibia, it offers a safari experience defined by dramatic landscapes, remarkable visibility and some of the continent's finest wildlife viewing.

At the heart of the park lies the Etosha Pan, a vast shimmering expanse so large it can be seen from space. During the dry season, animals congregate around the park's waterholes, creating exceptional opportunities to observe elephant, lion, giraffe, zebra, rhino and numerous antelope species in a setting unlike anywhere else in Africa.

The open nature of the landscape allows wildlife encounters to unfold on an impressive scale, whilst the changing light across the pan creates unforgettable scenes throughout the day. Luxury safari lodges, tented camps and private reserves bordering the park provide comfortable bases for exploring one of Namibia's most celebrated and rewarding wilderness areas.
